Welcome to Chilimania!
Chilimania is held annually the weekend after Labor Day in Edgerton, Wisconsin. It is home to the Wisconsin State Championship CASI-Sanctioned Chili Cook-Off, a Traditional Chili Cooking Contest, and a Salsa Contest.
Want to try some of these delicious concoctions and help choose the People’s Choice? Arrive in time for the Public Chili Tasting at 3 p.m. Saturday, grab a cup, spoon, and ballot, and get tasting! Be quick, though — the fun only lasts as long as the chili, which can sometimes be gone in an hour or less!
Our mission is to promote the Edgerton business community, social responsibility, and to raise funds to support the education of our youth.Learn more about Chilimania View the 2017 schedule What’s Country Edge?
From humble beginnings …
Chilimania, a not-for-profit organization, started from a grand vision and began its first year with fewer than 20 cook-off participants. The event drew a loyal crowd that continued to grow year after year, as the festival consistently booked some of the Midwest’s best-known headlining bands on its Main Stage.
… To one of Edgerton’s favorite events!
Today, the group has given more than $120,000 back to the community during the past 26 years through annual spring scholarships to graduating Edgerton high school students, community donations, and many other Edgerton Student Clubs and Athletics.
Giving back to the community
As the event has grown over the past quarter-century, we’ve been fortunate enough to be able to give back more and more each year. Chilimania sponsored seven scholarships to graduating 2016 Edgerton High School seniors totaling $10,500 — the highest number in Chilimania history — and we’re doing it again for the Class of 2017!Learn more about Chilimania View the 2017 schedule What’s Country Edge?
